19.Jun - 18.Jul 2020
Thurs - Sun 16:00 - 20:00 or by appointment
Berlin-based artist Sun Youngeun has created an immersive experience in all 3 rooms at LiTE-HAUS for her ongoing installation projects which utilize painting, sculpture, and video.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted how artists tell stories, and how we experience daily life. Sun's solo exhibition explores the changes that have occurred to us personally. She aims to share feelings with the viewer of uncertainty, urgency, no longer feeling firm ground beneath our feet.
To your right we share photos from some of her past exhibitions. In the current installation of SINK, objects appear where they should not be. Sun has brought this mood to LiTE-HAUS in a new way for this continuation of the project.
Book an appointment to see this moody, thoughtful exhibition. Masks are required.
Sun Youngeun's ongoing series of objects sinking into the floor or earth reminds us that the ground beneath us is not always firm.
Has the pandemic made us unrecognizable? Sun Youngeun explores how COVID-19 has changed us personally.
Again Sun startles us with material usually found outdoors, brought indoors. In this prior exhibition a piece of earth from a courtyard shows the richness and beauty of the soil we take for granted.
