Part of our contribution to the annual 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival

How very different playgrounds are depending on where - and when - you lived your childhood. Memories of the simplicity of play. Behold the images artists created to recall their own playgrounds, or the ones from their dreams...or nightmares. The exhibition shows the darker side of
childhood, focusing on gun violence, poverty, and conflict. We conducted open discussions about personal childhood experiences and how art can be used to assist in healing. We invited adult visitors to bring toys they kept, and explore ways to use them to create art.
