EXHIBITION: NOVEMBER 7 - 22, 2025 (07.11.25 - 22.11.25)

Ike Quirk is a contemporary artist based in IRELAND, whose work focuses on emotional expressionism through colour. His art is deeply influenced by his connection to nature and the landscape of southern Ireland, where the surrounding colors serve as a natural guide and perfect palette for his artist exploration.
In this exhibition "we were meant to meet", Ike continues his journey into the world of human connection and art. His recent exhibition in Madrid, Spain - "the emotional intensity of random human connection"- was the first show on this theme. In a further recent group show in Paris, his paintings continued this recurring theme
From his beginnings as a self-taught artist , Ike has developed an approach driven by using emotional intensity as a creative force, resulting in abstract compositions filled with evocative nuances. His work in this show also aims to capture the fleeting nature of human connections and transform the viewers perception through the sensory dept of colour and texture
The exhibition "we were meant to meet" at the LiTE-HAUS will comprise of seven large works and several smaller works on canvas and linen. The paintings were completed in berlin , Valencia and Ike's much loved Cork for this showing.
Also Ike will collaborate with local filmmaker Dasha Altukhova on a sound and vision piece which will Screen in both venues ( see below).
A discussion and Q and A event will proceed the opening , this will take place a LAGOS Berlin Pestalozzistr. 34, Charlottenburg , Berlin. Ike Quirk artist , LiTE-HAUS curator Debbie Davies, filmmaker Dasha Altukhova and LAGOS Berlin curator Luis Carrera-Maul will talk about the work and process and also the more general question of "human connection and art". There, the artist will present monochrome works under the title "we were meant to meet , the negatives".
