Ike Quirk is an Irish abstract painter who creates vibrant and dynamic art representing cultural narratives. His large format paintings are expressive, colorful, and spontaneous. He relishes the unpredictability of creating, and you can see it in the motion of his brushwork and splatters.​

​

Coming from an agricultural area of Southern Ireland, he chooses palettes that reflect the nature around him. His background in farming, ecology and a commitment to sustainability and the investigation of human connections informs his creations.

​

Quirk's paintings will fill two of our galerie rooms, and the artist will participate in a live painting event.

​

Also, our favorite neighborhood place for drinks and delicious tacos - RingBar - will also host another collection of the artist's work in their art space November 7 -12. There, the artist will present a video project that visitors may participate in. Located a short 5-minute walk from LiTE-HAUS, this collaboration allows for a multidimensional exhibition that celebrates the Neukölln arts community, as we introduce yet another emerging artist.
