CATI LAPORTE

Educated in traditional imitation techniques of marbles and wood in Bruxelles, Cati Laporte is a faux painter who shares her time between her native South of France and her studio in Berlin.

After decades in the US where the beginning of the internet inspired her cataloging disasters and chronicling the zeitgeist, she spent a few years living in Rio de Janeiro, where she continued to paint while also working in embroidery.

Since living in Berlin, this multi-talented artist also works in casting concrete and creating dioramas and automatons.

Whatever the medium, Cati Laporte’s playful worldview will always shine through in her art.

At LiTE-HAUS we especially adore her embroidered artworks - full of whimsy and attitude.
