Joana Lucas is a visual artist whose work shows a fascination for the uncanny and questions beauty, technology and classical aesthetics.
 

Her series of paintings “Askew” visually experiments with the notions of imbalance and asymmetry.

Lucas is interested in promoting the relish in unevenness, challenging viewers to enjoy ambiguity.
