Carolina Amaya’s work is composed of a series of different disciplines and experiences where the inner and outer merge, resulting in a distortion of human sexual organs. In these works, one can perceive an altered or disfigured version of the body and a redefinition of eroticism as the main axis of life.
Amaya was born in Bogota, Colombia. She studied visual arts and graphic design in there, then she moved to Buenos Aires where she completed her thesis in morphology and eroticism in contemporary art. Now based in Berlin she continues to expand her mediums.
LiTE-HAUS has a selection of Amaya's works including drawings and paintings.
