LiTE-HAUS welcomes artist Stefan Schlitter who will transform LiTE-HAUS into a Caribbean landscape with vivid paintings that will surely delight your eyes.

 

Stefan Schlitter was born and raised in Berlin-Dahlem in Germany. His mother and father (a medical doctor) introduced him to a large collection of literature and art books at home. At the age of 14 he discovered drawings of nudes in Renaissance art books and copied them. Soon the walls of his bedroom where covered with his own drawings of nature and subjects. After Highschool he went to the Berlin University of Arts (UDK). Stefan started travelling around the world: Africa, China, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, North America, Mexico, Guatemala, Caribbean Islands and all over Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. Through these impressions by travelling, he developed his very own style in

painting on canvas. He lives and runs his Studio in Berlin.

Stefan Schlitter, geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin-Dahlem. Seine Mutter und Vater (Doktor der Medizin) hatten eine große Sammlung von Literatur und Kunstbüchern. Im Alter von 14 Jahren entdeckte er Aktzeichnungen in Büchern über die Renaissance und kopierte diese. Bald waren die Wände seines Zimmers mit eigenen Naturstudien bedeckt. Nach dem Gymnasium besuchte er die Universität der Künste in Berlin (UDK). Stefan fing an, rund um die Welt zu reisen: Afrika, China, Südostasien, Australien, Neuseeland, Südpazifische Inseln, Nordamerika, Mexiko, Guatemala, Karibik, Europa und das Mittelmeer. Durch diese Eindrücke entwickelte er seinen eigenen Stil. Zahlreiche seiner Gemälde befinden sich in Privatsammlungen auf allen Kontinenten. Er lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
